It's true. Though being a gift box company makes it harder to be an eco friendly company due to the needed extra packaging, that's not going to stop us. We do our best to avoid harmful shipping materials such as polystyrene, and bubble wrap.
Here are a Few Ways We are Being Eco Friendly
Repurposing and recycling are great ways to be more eco friendly. Take something old and use it for something new. This helps to expand the use and life of all waste, reducing what you throw away. Here are some ways we repurpose, and how you can too. Cardboard boxes
Almost every cardboard box shipped to Ruluberry is reused. We reuse the boxes by using them to re-ship, or by using them as storage for inventory and other supplies. Shipping Materials
We save any and all shipping materials that can be reused. Shipping materials can be reused time and time again, things such as bubble wrap and Styrofoam are incredibly wasteful, so we try to avoid purchasing these at all costs. Reusing packing materials that are shipped to us help to lengthen the life of these wasteful shipping materials. All polystyrene and bubble wrap used in our boxes is being reused to lengthen the life of these harmful materials.
We do our best to use the least amount of plastic as possible. This means almost all beauty items are in high quality glass containers, and there isn’t excessive plastic packaging.
Another way we are limiting plastic usage is by not using any bubble wrap to ship our gift boxes. Bubble wrap is very commonly used to protect glass items in shipment, but this means a lot of plastic waste. Instead we use 100% recycled and recyclable crinkle cut paper.
Recycling is a great way to reduce the amount of waste being produced. Paper, glass, cardboard, and more can all be recycled. Everything at Ruluberry that can be recycled is.
